Super line-up for this year's Amnesia Rockfect in Canada

Amnesia Rockfest, set to take place from June 18th to the 21st in Montebello, Canada, was started in 2005 by 17 year old Alex Martel. Since then it has managed to become Canada's largest rock festival attracting over 200,000 attendees in 2014. To celebrate the festival's 10th anniversary this year's Amnesia lineup was co-curated by Rancid's Tim Armstrong and NOFX's Fat Mike.

Among the headliners included will be California band System Of A Down, one of the most requested bands by festival-goers, who will perform a rare concert this year to headline on Saturday night. Also the very popular rock group Linkin Park will be in Montebello to headline on Friday night.

Worth mentioning is the return of punk rock group The Offspring who will perform the album Americana, legendary metal band Slayer, well-known rapper Snoop Dogg, master of horror Rob Zombie and the comedy duo Tenacious D, for their first Quebec appearance. Other bands include Pixies, Sublime With Rome, Deftones who will perform the album Around The Fur, Rancid who will perform the album And Out Come The Wolves, Bad Religion, Refused (reunion), Thrice (reunion), Coheed and Cambria, Story of the Year and many others.

As alway lots of punk rock will be featured: Flogging Molly, Gogol Bordello, Propagandhi, Goldfinger, Less Than Jake, Good Riddance, Ten Foot Pole, The Bouncing Souls, Satanic Surfers (reunion) and many others. Adding to the mix are several punk and hardcore legends such as Buzzcocks, Descendents, All, The Exploited, GBH and Michale Graves of Misfits.

System of a Down's set will mark the band's second North American concert scheduled for 2015. The band will embark on their Wake Up the Souls tour this spring, commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Armenian genocide in 1915. While the trek starts on April 6th at the Forum in Los Angeles, System of a Down will immediately head overseas for the remainder of the tour. The tour will end on April 23rd, the day before Armenia commemorates the anniversary with the band's first show in the country of their ancestors.

Frontman Serj Tankian recently said in an interview. "Part of it, is bringing attention to the fact that genocides are still happening, whether you use the word genocide, holocaust or humanitarian catastrophe, none of that is changing. We want to be part of that change. We want the recognition of the first genocide of the 20th century to be a renewal of confidence that humanity can stop killing itself. I say that, laughing, because obviously it's ridiculous".
