Bat interrupts a Napalm Death gig

A bat interrupted a Napalm Death show in the US when it took up residence in the stage scheduled for the venue. The band was distracted by the animal which was flying around and as one commentator pointed out "the loud frequencies of that show probably fucked up its sensitive radar making it batshit insane".

Frontman Barney concerned for the creature's well-being said: "Don't fucking hurt him, leave him be". He also asked staff to try direct the bat towards the door. The band also saw the funny side and spontaneously broke into the riff from Black Sabbath's self-titled 1970 single. Sabbath singer Ozzy Osbourne famously bit the head off a bat while onstage in 1982.

By the way, many years later bats finally got their revenge on Ozzy and they're hitting him hard on his wallet. The famous Sabs frontman purchased some land in the southeast England county of Buckinghamshire and while trying to convert a barn, he was stopped by the local government after it was discovered that bats and owls inhabited it. Among the species were brown long-eared bats and pipistrelle bats, two rare forms of bat that are protected by environmental laws. Now a license is required to properly displace them. According to The Daily Record, Osbourne has to shell over £18,500 or $28,173.65 to obtain the proper license to remove the bats from his $5 million dollar home. Failure to comply results in a six month jail term and a fine of £5,000 per bat.
