The Music Machine drummer, Ron Edgar, passes away

Ron Edgar, drummer of The Music Machine (a/k/a The Bonniwell Music Machine) and The Millennium in the late 60s, died yesterday, February 24th 2015.

His son, Scott Daniel Edgar, posted a short statement on Facebook that reads: "At 4:00 p.m. my father Ron Edgar passed away into the next life. He was loved by many and went peacefully. We all love you dad and will see you again someday hopefully in a long time. I hope you are playing on a big Neil Pert drum set with Wally and Sean. I hope you are at peace with all your family that came before."

Sean Bonniwell had passed away three years ago (December 2011). The Music Machine is regarded as one of the most original garage punk bands in the history of rock music. The group came together as The Ragamuffins in 1965, originally as a trio including Bonniwell, Edgar and bassist Keith Olsen, but became The Music Machine in 1966.
